No compromise will be made in providing safe and secure travelling environment and extending timely and effective help to the road users travelling on national highways and motorways.
While addressing a police Darbar at N-5 Central Zone, Lahore here on Monday Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police Wajid Ali Khan said that management of Motorway police is working day and night for the welfare of the officials. He announced that 15 facilitation centres would be constructed at different places on national highways to facilitate the patrolling officers. I G Motorway told that a housing scheme is going to be established at Islamabad and for this purpose Motorway Police Foundation is being registered. He stressed the need of sports activities and directed to renovate recreation rooms at all beats. He granted rupees 03 lakhs to Central Zone for the upcoming sports festival of Motorway police. I.G directed that 'Barah Khana' for the officers should be arranged after every two months. I.G Motorway then heard the problems of the officers and assured them that he will try his best to resolve. At the end I.G Motorway distributed certificates and cash rewards among the officers who performed outstanding duties during last couple of months. DIG Dr Shafique presented souvenir to I.G Wajid Ali Khan in remembrance of his visit to Lahore.
Dr Muhammad Shafique, Sector Commander Central-I SSP Mirza Faran Baig, Sector Commander C-II SSP Ghulam Jaffar and other official of motorway police were also present on this occasion.
