While Supreme Court Monday resumed hearing of contempt case against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, several PPP and its coalition diehards' presence was witnessed in the courtroom except Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Prominent among those present at the court were Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Asfandyar Wali Khan and federal ministers including Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Syed Khurshid Shah, Mir Changez Jamali, Syed Naveed Qamar, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Rehman A Malik and Maula Bakhash Chandio. Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar were also present in the courtroom.
Meanwhile, PPP Central Information Secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira expressed distress over the indictment of Prime Minister saying that it is unprecedented that the charges were framed against a sitting Premier by the SC which was painful for PPP. Kaira asserted that the premier will appear before the bench on given date by the apex court to defend the government's stance. He was confident that Prime Minister was in no way guilty in the matter in hand saying, "It would be proved in the court that the Prime Minister is not guilty." However, former Information Minister added that Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani would remain Prime Minister of the country come what may!
