Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has decided to take action against motorists and public transport on violation of lane. "ITP has conducted a survey at Peshawar Mor Chowk to know about the increasing road accidents and blockage of traffic. It was found that public transport jumping at signal of 'Peshwar Mor Chowk' to turn right towards the road leading to Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry or G-8", a police official said.
ITP educated the road users as well as public transporters for not jumping lanes. The ITP now started issuing tickets, which has helped curb this practice. He said that the high ups of ITP have decided that motorists or public transporters found involved in lane violation will not be spared and their vehicles would be impounded.
