Political victimisation: police accused of implicating PML-N worker in false case

In an interesting case, Shahzad Town Police made political worker of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) a political victim by booking him in a FIR that was registered against unknown protestors who blocked Islamabad Highway near airport to protest against gas load-shedding and low pressure of the same.
Police have admitted that Ishfaque Abbasi has been booked under political influence, the worker's family sources said. Interestingly, the LEA registered name of Abbasi with a delay of 21 days of the protest against gas load-shedding in the localities near airport.
Police claimed that it recovered a box of match and a gallon carrying highly inflammable liquid from the worker's possession. It is pertinent to mention that earlier, Abbasi was bailed out from FIR 611. Police booked him in the aforementioned case and challan has been prepared to present him before Anti-Terrorism Court.
