One held over blasphemy charge

Sindh police on Friday claimed to have arrested a person over the charge of spreading derogatory electronic messages against Khulfa-e-Rashideen. According to police, the arrest was made by Korangi Industrial Area police on the complaints of several workers of one of the biscuit factories.
They claimed the detained person namely Abid Ali was arrested when he was busy in using abusive language against those Islamic leaders, enraging other workers of factory. They said those workers sealed him off and tried to kill him but police reached the spot and took the accused Abid into custody. The case 79/12 was registered under section 298-A and 28 provision of Telegraph Act against him.
