President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday confirmed the instrument the ratification of the agreement on economic, scientific and technical co-operation between Pakistan and Romania, says a press release. The agreement between the two countries was signed on September 12 last year followed by the Cabinet decision to ratify the same. The President on the advice of the Prime Minister on Friday affixed his signature and seal confirming that the government had ratified the articles of the agreement.
Under the agreement the two sides shall encourage bilateral co-operation in economic, scientific and technical fields. Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that the President on Friday also confirmed the instrument ratification of the Preferential Trade Agreement among the developing-8 countries. The agreement was signed in Indonesia sometime back and the Cabinet in December last approved its ratification. Accordingly, the President on Friday on the advice of the Prime Minister affixed his signature and seal to the instrument of ratification of the Preferential Trade Agreement among the Developing-8 countries.-PR
