The profit after tax of Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited has increased to Rs 616.695 million in the year ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 437.463 million earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The company's earning per share has increased to Rs 100.15 in the period under review against Rs 71.04 in the same period a year ago.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Friday recommended final cash dividend of Rs 50 per ordinary share of Rs 10 each ie 500 percent, in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 50 per ordinary share already paid during the year. The total dividend for the year 2011 amounts to Rs 100 per ordinary share as compared to Rs 71 per share in 2010.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 4.940 billion in 2011 against Rs 4.040 billion in 2010. The cost of sales increased to Rs 3.015 billion against Rs 2.506 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 910.132 million in 2011 against Rs 645.859 million in 2010.
