Plight of Palestinians

Published Updated

It is interesting to note that a shoe thrown by Palestinian protestors flies towards a vehicle in the convoy of US Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as it arrives at the Erez checkpoint in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday. Protesters threw shoes, sand and small stones at his convoy, which was briefly held up before continuing on to Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The plight of Palestinians is too profound. For over 60 years, Palestinians have been waiting for justice. They have been waiting for UN resolutions affirming rights to statehood to be put into practice.
