Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is drafting its manifesto for the next general elections in which comprehensive programme will be unfolded for proving much-needed relief to the masses. PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif said this while talking to former deputy chairman Senate Mohammad Ali Khan and five former MPAs from Kasur who met him at his Raiwind residence on Friday and announced to join the PML-N reposing full confidence in the leadership of PML-N.
Talking to them, Nawaz said the PML-N was deeply concerned over plight of countrymen due to poor law and order situation, escalating price hike, energy crisis and rising unemployment. He said the PML-N attached priority to provision of job opportunities to the youth, end of energy shortage and improvement of law and order situation.
Mohammad Ali Khan and five former MPAs Malik Rasheed Khan, Malik Mohammad Ali, Malik Mohammad Ahmed, Malik Ajhmed Saeed and Haji Sardar Khan said on the occasion that countrymen considered the PML-N leadership as ray of hope, to tackle challenges posed to the country. Moreover, former assembly members Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad Arain, Pir Ghulam Mohyuddin Chishti and Afzal Khichi and former Nazims from Vehari district met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and announced to join PML-N.
The former parliamentarians expressed their complete confidence in the leadership of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and said that he was the only leader who could steer the country out of crisis and the whole nation was looking towards him. They said they would serve the people as party workers and strengthen the hands of the PML-N leadership. Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, MNA Tehmina Daultana, MPA Naeem Khan Bhabhah and former Assembly Member Saqib Khurshid were also present on this occasion.
Talking to them, Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the new entrants into PML-N and said it would further strengthen the party. He said that corrupt and inefficient rulers had put the country at the brink of disaster and price-hike and unemployment had made the life of people miserable.
Referring to the reaction of the medicines of Punjab Institute of Cardiology, he said those medicines were sent for analysis to laboratories of London and Switzerland which in their reports declared IsoTab of Efroze Chemicals Karachi as substandard. He said that an inquiry would be conducted at every level to determine whether it was a mistake or conspiracy and the elements responsible would be taken to task.
