PAS Awards 2012 second series announced

After glorying success of its first marketing and advertising awards held last year, Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) is proud to announce the second in the series, the PAS Awards 2012, says a press release.
With the current advertising annual spend touching a mark of approximately Rs 40 billion, it is one of the only industries that has shown a consistent growth rate in double digits over the years and an estimated growth of 20 per cent this year too. The industry, directly and indirectly, is responsible for a vibrant media and economic growth of a country.
Being an important sector, the primary objective of the award programme is to raise the standard of advertising in Pakistan by acknowledging and honouring 'idea, strategy and creativity that works'.
In its first year, the PAS Awards received immense appreciation and was supported by all the major industry stakeholders like All Pakistan Newspapers Association (APNS), Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) and Advertising Association of Pakistan (AAP).
Structured on world class standard, the awards this year have announced 25 major categories in which the entries will be judged for their effectiveness. In addition, a special category for "Media Innovation" and a special award for "Campaign of the Year" have also been introduced to encourage novel ideas and benchmark excellence in the field.
This year an online entry system has also been put in place for the participants who wish to submit their entries online. The system will also allow the engaging off shore experts through online judging system.
The Jury, which constitutes the core of any award programme, will be handpicked from all over Pakistan comprising of industry experts and specialists representing marketing, advertising, media and academia.
Having established itself as one of the most premier award programmes, PAS is committed to aspiring young professionals and celebrating the success of the Pakistani marketing and advertising industry.-PR
