Over 3000 students participated in the 7th Inter Schools Mathematics Olympiad 2012 held at PakTurk International School Campus on Sunday. The mega event was arranged in collaboration with Federal Directorate of Education, Ministry of Education and Government of Punjab. Students from 470 schools of Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Rawalpindi and rural and urban areas of Islamabad participated in the mega educational competition.
In order to provoke interest among the students, PakTurk International Schools and Colleges have been arranging Inter Schools Mathematics Olympiads (ISMO) for the last six years.
Educationists have the point of view that there are not enough chances for our student to exhibit their talent to the world and there is an immense need of such programmes for our brilliant youth.
This unique competition provided a great chance for the students of class 5, 6, 7 and class 8 to show their incredible potential and win handsome prizes.
This competition was open for the students of public schools as well as those of private schools and for both genders.
The host students of PakTurk School also organised a fun fair where Turkish and local food stalls attracted the visitors to make the event more eye-catching. Increasing number of participating students every year shows the credibility and transparency of the event.
The results of the competition will be announced on February 11 through website and prize distribution ceremony will be held on February 18.
The institute will give attractive prizes to the top twenty position holders in each category.
The cash prizes will be given to the first three positions are Rs 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000, respectively for each of the 5, 6, 7 and 8 class categories.
Moreover there are 7 prizes of Rs 2000 and 10 prizes of Rs 1000 for each category.
