The Sindh High Court has allowed the election commission of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to count the votes polled by the three candidates for the office of President of FPCCI for the year 2012, in the elections held on December 29, 2011.
Following HCS's orders issued on January 23, FPCCI has informed all the three candidates through e-mail, fax, TCS, and SMS to attend the counting of votes on January 26 at 3.30 pm at FPCCI conference room, Federation House here. According to a press release issued by Secretary General, FPCCI non-appearance of the contestants or by their authorised representative, for any reason, will not affect the vote counting programme.
