Four arrested in separate raids: Three kidnapped persons including DMD PSM recovered
Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four kidnappers and recovered three captives including Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Pakistan Steel Mill (PSM) in separate raids here. According to SP Ghulam Subhani, the first raid was conducted near Hamdard University where a team of AVCC recovered Saeed Ahmad, who is serving in PSM as DMD. He said that he was kidnapped from Surjani area some 15 days ago and the case (29/12) was registered in this regard.
Similarly, a businessman namely Imran alias Mani, who was abducted from Nazimabad some two days ago, was recovered by AVCC from Kati Pahari Area. One more captive namely Imran Shah was recovered from Sakran. Subhani said the victim Shah was kidnapped from Gulshan Hadeed on first week of January.
He said that there were three groups including Ghafoor Bugti, Hazaroo Mari and Wali Muhammad Brohi were involved in these kidnappings and added that the culprits demanded a ransom of Rs 2 million for the release of each captive. Moreover, he dispelled to disclose the names of the detained persons as the raids were being conducted to burst these gangs.
