Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government running two employment schemes: Hoti

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said on Tuesday that the provincial government had introduced Bacha Khan Khpal Rozgar and Hunarmand Rozgar schemes to provide employment to the people of the province. He was addressing a function held in connection with handing over appointment letters to junior clerks selected for the department in Civil Secretariat in Chief Minister's Secretariat, here on Tuesday.
The chief minister said that under the schemes interest free loans have been offered to unemployed youth under Bacha Khan Khpal Rozgar Scheme to help them set up a small business on their own and to look after their families. The government had provided Rs 1 billion for the programme in its first year, Rs 2 billion for next year and the funds would increase in the future.
He said that loans worth Rs 300,000 on soft terms have been offered to skilled youth under Hunarmand Rozgar Scheme. He said that the government initiated these programmes keeping in view the lesser appointment capacity of government departments and the programmes were kept free of political influence.
The chief minister said that honesty and integrity is a must for dispensation of official duties for government employees because personal liking and disliking was damaging the system. He said that the present government had ensured merit and transparency based appointment on posts of junior clerks in civil secretariat. He handed over appointment letters to 78 applicants selected from five zones. He asked the new comers to work with devotion and honesty.
