Ripah International University has signed a memorandum of understanding with The Pakistan Society for the rehabilitation of disabled. The MoU was signed by the Executive Director of RIU, Asadullah Khan and General Secretary of The Pakistan Society for PSRD, Mrs. Rehana Maroof Baray on Tuesday in Lahore on behalf of their respective organisations, said a press release issued here.
Mrs. M. H. Sherazee, President PSRD told the audience about the 50 years of history of the PSRD that it is a non-profit, charitable organisation established in 1957 in Lahore. It is supported by donations from philanthropic individuals and organisations.
The programme is aimed at launching new programmes, training and seminars on Rehabilitation to support the disabled people through professional and skill development. It will also help in creating awareness and promoting social activities in our community. The programme will be implemented by Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences on behalf of RIU with PSRD. Riphah International University is looking forward to open up its new campus in Lahore soon. The MoU is considered to be the first benchmark in Lahore to the university's expansion and will offer different undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields.
