Deaths due to drug reaction: LHC moved for formation of judicial commission

Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) has approached the Lahore High Court seeking constitution of a judicial commission to probe into deaths of several patients due to reaction of drug. The petitioner, JAP Chairman Azhar Siddique contended that the deaths of patients due to spurious medicines have created panic among the masses.
He therefore prayed to the court to direct the respondent authorities to cancel the license of the company involved in manufacturing of the medicine. He also sought severe punishment against the responsible.
