A staggering amount of $200 billion of black money is said to have been deposited by Pakistanis in only Swiss banks. This amount is giving a new dimension to the ongoing legal battle about the NRO verdict of Supreme Court. It makes quite clear that not only the president of Pakistan and his family, but many other Pakistanis have robbed the country and deprived the nation of its assets.
While Pakistan is taking loans from international organisations such as the World Bank and the IMF under conditions that make the country slaves of foreign designed economic and security-related policies.
On the other hand, it is quite clear that those people hiding the money in Swiss banks did it, not to help the country, but to help themselves. Consequently, they must be watching the discussion around the NRO and about accountability fearing any outcome that may endanger their ill-gotten money and their criminal acts of acquiring it.
