Yellow Cab Scheme challenged in LHC

Published Updated

A citizen Hina Ihtisam alleging financial irregularities in Yellow Cab Scheme has approached the Lahore High Court for probe into the matter. The petitioner contended that government had announced to deliver 20,000 cabs and collected about 70,000 applications for this purpose. Government also fixed rupees 3,500 process fee and rupees 110,000 as advance for the cab.
She alleged that there are gross financial irregularities in the scheme and need to probe. She, therefore, prayed to the Court to constitute a commission to probe into the financial irregularities in the scheme.
