Provincial Minister for Education Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that a blend of talent and hard work is the basis for all human development and Pakistani nation is lucky to have both these qualities in its young generation. He was addressing a prize distribution ceremony held in honour of the winners of Brain of Lahore quiz competition at the Trust School Aamir Town, Harbuns Pura, here on Saturday'
The minister said that the Brain of Lahore competition arranged among the most brilliant students of 296 schools of Lahore is unprecedented. Congratulating "Brain of Lahore 2012" Sauda Ibrahim on her success, he said that intelligent students are the asset of the nation and the government has made available all its resources for polishing their talent. He said that extra-curricular activities side by side academic activities play an important role in the balanced development of human personality.
He said, Chief Minister Punjab is taking keen interest in promotion of sports as well as holding of speech and essay writing competitions among students. He said that education is the top priority of the government and it is also awarding cash prizes and scholarships to brilliant boy and girl students. He said that 10 lakh children have enrolled in schools this year as a result of primary enrolment campaign of the government.
