Kidnapping for ransom, highway robberies: Magsi for stern action against perpetrators

Governor Balochistan, Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi has directed stern action against the influential people involved in kidnapping for ransom, highway robberies and other heinous crimes in Balochistan.
Law and order situation here was not satisfactory, therefore, the provincial government should ensure peace in the province, he said while talking to journalists after the 10th convocation of the University of Balochistan, here on Saturday. Magsi lamented that law and order situation in the province was deteriorating and no amicable solution was sought by the public representatives sitting in the assemblies.
Expressing his concern over the recovery of dead bodies from parts of the province and missing persons' issue, he said that the government should take step for the recovery of the missing ones. It was court to decide who was guilty and thus they should be produced before courts.
"Being a constitutional chief of the province, it is the prerogative of the CM Balochistan to maintain writ of the government in the province, he said adding that in my personal position, I sometimes interrupt and issue directives on the matters of public concern."
