The International Youth Day this year would be named after youngest IT expert, late Arfa Karim, said Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs, Syed Faisal Subzwari. He was speaking as chief guest on Saturday at the certificate distribution ceremony.
The six-day training programme for school and college students was held under the Youth Empowerment Space (YES) project. The projects are taken up by the Sindh Youth Affairs Department in collaboration with the Habib University Foundation. The minister further pointed out that the Karachi IT Park has already been named after Arfa Karim on the directive of Quaid-i-Tehreek Altaf Hussain.
He said: "our youngsters are very talented and capable and can excel in any field provided they are given right type of training and guidance. The minister said that he had always encouraged youths and provided them with every possible opportunity to make headway. He also recalled the projects initiated by his Department for the betterment and welfare of the youngsters.
