Sindh Bachayo (Save) Committee, an alliance of nationalist parties has announced shutter-down strike in province on January 28, 2012 against the 20th constitutional amendment bill. The bill regarding the 20th constitutional amendment was submitted in National Assembly by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) a few days back.
This announcement was made by the Convenor Sindh Bachayo Committee Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah during a press conference held at Hyder Manzil here on Saturday. Chairman Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Bashir Qureshi, Chairman Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party (STP) Dr Qadir Magsi, President Awami Tehreek Ayaz Latif Palijo, Chairman Jeay Sindh Mahaz Riaz Chandio and others were present on the occasion. Jalal Mehmood Shah termed the 20th amendment bill a conspiracy against Sindh, saying that MQM would move forward to divide the Sindh in to two parts with passage of the bill.
He condemned this bill and announced that Sindhi nationalist and Sindhi people will not accept the bill and will fail the every conspiracy regarding the division of Sindh province. On this occasion, Jalal Mehmood Shah announced that Sindh Bachayo Committee will do shutter-down strike in every nook and corner of province on January 28, 2012, against the bill and if MQM will not take back the bill, series of protests would be initiated after this strike call.
