Three persons shot dead in city

At least three persons including a Regional Sales Officer (RSO) of one of the private mobile companies were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis, here on Wednesday. According to police sources, the RSO was shot dead over resistance during robbery bid at mobile franchise located in Mahmoodabad in the limits of Baloch Colony police station.
The incident took place at Mahmoodabad no 4 near Shafi Biryani House when two armed men barged into mobile franchise and tried to snatch valuables from them. Meanwhile, the bandits opened indiscriminate gunshots on Ahsan Kamal, 30 son of Zafar Iqbal when he offered resistance during robbery bid. Police said the victim received three bullets and died on spot. Later the body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities.
Police said the victim, who was the resident of Jacob Line Jamshed Town, was serving as RSO in that franchise for last one year. No case was registered till filing of this report. In another incident, two more persons were targeted at Mohammadi Colony Keamari in the limits of Docks police station. The tragic incident took place at Mohammadi Colony near Ibrahim Mosque, where two persons namely Abdullah Khan, 28 son of Ali Asghar and Noor Shah, 30 son of Masha Khan was gunned down when they were going for Maghrib prayers.
Both victims received fatal bullet injuries and died on the spot. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities. SHO Madad Ali Zardari said both victims were cousins and used to run scrap business at Machhar Colony and added that they might have been murdered over personal enmity. No case was registered till filing of this report.
