Lahore Electronic Media Reporters Association (EMRA), the city based, largest body of reporters of Electronic media arranged its annual elections in Lahore on Sunday where journalist Tanvir Shahzad (DW) was elected as president of the body.
Elections in which journalist Mustafa Kamal was Chief Election Commissioner, Umer Javaid (Dunya TV) as Vice-President, Muhammad Asim Naseer (GEO) as Secretary-General and Shakil Malik (KTN) Finance Secretary were also elected.
It is pertinent to note that EMRA has over 120 members working for national and international TV channels, Radios and news websites.
Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ), Members of Lahore Press Club, Electronic Media News Cameramen Association and other media associations have congratulated the newly-elected representatives of EMRA.
