Creating fake facebook accounts: FIA conducts raids to arrest cyber criminals

FIA Cyber Crime Circle has launched drive against creator of fake facebook accounts and stared conducting raids to arrest the criminals.
FIA cyber crime circle has started investigation that some unscrupulous elements had created fake facebook accounts in the name of well-reputed ladies and blackmailing them, said a press release issued here on Sunday.
Some unscrupulous element has created a facebook account in the name of a lady of the family of well-know businessmen, Fazal Karim Dadabhoy, and placed her photo on the facbook account, it added.
Sources said that Dadabhoy has reported the case to FIA and on his report FIA directed ASI Shafi Mohammad to investigate the case. After detail investigation and getting technical assistance it was detected that a resident of Defence Housing Society, is a habitual cyber criminal and he has created more then three accounts of facebook in the name of well reputed ladies and placed their photos on the book to blackmail them.
FIA team conducted raids to arrest the person, who managed to escape. However, FIA has recovered a laptop, mobile phone and other evidences from the house and registered an FIR 2/2012.
