Senior Vice President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Younus Muhammad Bashir, has resigned as SVP of the chamber and from the membership of Businessmen Group (BMG) owing to some differences with the group.
However, his resignation has yet not been received by the Secretary of the chamber. Bashir confirmed that he has resigned and added that Siraj Kassim Teli would remain his leader.
He said that he had no grievances with Teli, Zubair Motiwala or even with KCCI President Mian Abrar Ahmed. "He has some differences with some members of BMG that compelled him to resign," he added. He said that he had handed over his resignation to the leadership of BMG and he did not know whether it was approved or not.
When contacted BMG Vice chairman Zubair Motiwala said he has come to know that Bashir had resigned. May be these are rumours, he added. Terming Bashir as their trusted partner he said, "he don't need to resign."
