'Training of over 0.1 million school heads, teachers completed'

Punjab Education Foundation has completed capacity building of as many as 100,000,360,00 teachers and heads of private schools in the province so that academic standard of low-cost private schools could be improved by enhancing the teaching skills of the teachers.
During this training, teachers were also taught about the classroom management, communication skills enhancement and child psychology. This was stated by Chairman PEF, Raja Muhammad Anwar while talking to a 25-member delegation of schoolteachers and heads of different private schools here at his office.
Talking to the delegation, Raja Anwar maintained that Punjab government was giving priority to improving the standard of private schools as they play equal role in the promotion of education. He said that public-private partnership model introduced by PEF has further strengthened the private sector schools and it has also benefited the poorest segments by introducing free education for their children. He disclosed that 70 thousand deserving students are getting free education in 17 different districts through education voucher scheme and hoped that it would help to improve the social standard of the families.
The delegation appreciated the efforts of the Punjab government and said that private sector will continue to shoulder the cause of education in the province.
