AJK LA reposes confidence in Zardari, Gilani

AJK Legislative Assembly Friday reposed full confidence in the leadership of President, Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani for their efforts to strengthen democracy and democratic process in Pakistan. This was stated in a unanimously passed resolution, presented by Pakistan Peoples Party legislators Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Chuadhry Pervez Ashraf, Matlob Inqalabi, Afsar Shahid, Javed Iqbal Budhanvi, Azhar Gilani and Sadaf Sheikh.
AJKLA session held with Speaker Ghulam Sadiq in the chair paid gratitude to the efforts made by PPP-led coalition government to highlighting Kashmir issue in consonance with the aspirations of people of the region and vowed for continuation of democratic process in the country.
It made an appeal to all political and democratic forces in Pakistan to play positive role for the continuation of democracy and supremacy of constitution terming it the only way forward to resolve national issues. The session considered it essential that all institutions adhere to their constitutional limits for sequel of democratic process and consolidation of the constitutional bodies. AJK Prime Minister, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, in his address said that government and the people of Kashmir want a stronger Pakistan as it is the final destination of Kashmiris and they respect all institutions.
