Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Police has arrested seven criminals including an alleged killer, three proclaimed offenders and three other dacoits and recovered murder tools, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said here on Wednesday.
According to details, CIA police arrested a person Abdul Haq alias Lahori S/o Muhammad Ameen who killed a trader Arshad during dacoity attempt. On November 25, 2009, Asif and Arshad were going to their home after closing shop at Fiazabad. When they reached near Union Council Sohan, unidentified motorcyclists tried to loot them at gun point and started firing on resistance.
Arshad received critical bullet injuries and was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) where he succumbed to his injuries. Local police started the investigation into the case following the FIR registered on the complaint of Muhammad Ashraf, father of deceased. Later, SSP Islamabad Yousuf Malik shifted the case to CIA police staff and directed for immediate and fair investigation into the case. CIA police team headed by its in-charge Bashir Ahmed Noon, Inspector Mubarak Ali, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ali and other succeeded in arresting one of the main accused Abdul Haq alias Lahori R/o Shahdra Lahore from whom mobile phone of the deceased and 30 bore pistol used as murder tool were recovered. Efforts are also underway to nab his other accomplices.
Meanwhile, CIA police teams arrested three proclaimed offenders identified as Waseem Abbass S/o Mast Gul Khan, Muhammad Sohail S/o Mulki Khan r/o Swabi and Rizwan s/o Ejaz R/o Rawalpindi. They have remained involved in dacoities in the areas of Industrial area, Shalimar and Sihala police stations. Likewise, three other thieves were arrested and stolen items were also recovered from their possession. They were identified as Faqeer Hussain s/o Muhammad Hussain, Farzan s/o Muhammad Rafique and Sajid Hussain s/o Muhammad Iqbal.
