Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik said on Wednesday that all the ministries should release annual funds for the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package (AHBP). He said this while chairing a high-level meeting at the Cabinet Division to evaluate the progress/implementation of AHBP. The minister directed the Information Secretary for making documentary on the AHBP, giving all the details regarding various projects.
The minister directed the representatives of the ministry of petroleum for directing the private companies, to provide funds for welfare projects, such as school, roads, hospitals, etc. It was decided that Coast Guards and the FC will not establish any check posts on RCD Highway and Bolan Highway. Any check post established should be removed immediately.
The minister directed the PPO Balochistan to constitute a force to protect Federal Areas in the Balochistan. A special patrolling on the highways by the police should be conducted. The government should monitor the projects through their officers. The minister also directed that cattle smuggling should be stopped immediately. The FC and other related agencies should be sensitised. Next meeting of the implementation committee of AHBP will be held in Quetta.
