PPP rules out possibility of new Prime Minister: CoAS to complete tenure

The PPP Government Wednesday said that Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani would complete his tenure and it does not want any confrontation among the state institutions. The PPP government also ruled out any possibility of new Prime Minister and refuted the possibility of no-confidence vote against the prime minister.
"The Prime Minister did not give any statement which creates confrontation among the institutions. The people of Pakistan would not tolerate any collusion among the institutions," PPP Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khurshid Ahmed Shah told media after a meeting with JUI-F Chief Maulan Fazlur Rehman.
A PPP delegation comprising Federal Ministers Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Naveed Qamar and former Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf met with JUI-Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Khurshid Shah said that the PPP Government does not want any confrontation among the institution and in this regard it would contact all political parties and would take them into confidence.
Answering to a question about the removing of the Defence Secretary by the Prime Minister, he said that it is routine business. He said that under the constitution there is no need that the Prime Minister should take vote of confidence twice. He said that the Prime Minister would complete his tenure. He said that the Prime Minister has been elected with majority vote. He said that it is a routine meeting with JUI-f Chief Mualana Fazlur Rehman.
