Gas supply to various areas in Sindh and Balochistan provinces continue to remain affected due to the blasting of the pipeline near Jafferabad. Unidentified miscreants blew up the 18-inch diameter high pressure gas pipeline of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) four days ago on Wednesday morning at Jaffarabad, Balochistan. Five districts in Balochistan and various areas of Sindh remain affected still.
According to SSGC the repair works on the pipeline would be completed within next hours to help get the gas supply restored.
Meanwhile, security forces foiled an attempt to blow up gas pipeline at Malgazar, Balochistan by making 18kg explosives near the gas pipeline useless. CNG filling stations in Quetta remain closed today due to suspension of gas supply.
