Disbursement worth $493 million was made to Pakistan by different international donors during the first six months of the current fiscal year 2011-12. According to the data made available to the Business Recorder, from July to December 2011, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) provided $340 million while the amount disbursed by the World Bank was $5.67 million.
The data shows that USA disbursed $58.2 million during this period while the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) disbursed $13.6 million.
The amount provided by the United Kingdom (UK) was $10 million, by Australia $6.9 million, Germany $1.009 million, European Union (EU) 10.4 million dollars, Japan 5.6 million dollars, Norway 1.43 million dollars, and Saudi Arabia made available $1.07 million to Pakistan from July to December 2011.
Ireland gave 3.04 million dollars, Switzerland $0.1 million dollars, Italy 0.3 million dollars, Netherlands 0.9 million dollars, Sweden $3.4 million, China 0.4 million dollars, Canada $1.4 million and Belgium disbursed 3.15 million dollars during the six months of 2011-12.
