MQM to table new provinces bill in next National Assembly session

Deputy Convenor Rabita Committee Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr Farooq Sattar, has said that the MQM will introduce 20th constitutional amendment bill in the Parliament for the creation of Hazara and Southern Punjab provinces. He was talking to newsmen at Multan Press Club's programme "Guftago" chaired by Shakil Anjum. He said that MQM had raised voice for the oppressed community and nationalities.
Now it was defending the case of Saraiki people whom rights were usurped during the last 64 years. He said that a 23 districts province must be created in the near year with its separate assembly and secretariat.
He said that Saraki people would not serve as slaves of Lahore in future and they would get restored their rights. Dr Farooq Sattar said that five senators and 25 MNAs would support the cause of Saraiki people. He said that Balochistan was being treated like East Pakistan and country was being pushed towards dismemberment by denying the rights of the Blouchs, Similarly, rights of Saraki and Hazara's were being denied. He said that Punjab was the biggest province of Pakistan and its population was more than 160 countries of the world and it must be divided. He said, "We are Pakistanis and we have a right to raise voice for the rights of others like Saraikis". Pakistan Saraiki Party Chief Barrister Taj Muhammad Khan Langah hosted a reception in the honour of Dr Farooq Sattar and other MQM leaders for expressing their joy over the submission of the resolution in the National Assembly by the MQM, seeking creation of the new provinces in the country.
He said that the MQM would also submit a bill in the National Assembly and the Senate for creating Saraiki and Hazara provinces and for giving autonomy to tribal areas of the country with a view to ending the sense of deprivation among the tribal people. He furthers aid that consultations were being held on the draft of the amendment in this regard, and 20th constitutional amendment would be introduced in the Parliament for this purpose.
