It gives me great pleasure in issuing this message on the occasion of this Dhaka Convention LEAD 2012 in association with Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) from 7-8th, January 2012. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the National Chambers of Commerce and Industry and SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Friedrich Naumann Foundation and all the sponsors for their continued support and blessings in making this convention a reality.
Lead 2012 can be considered the pinnacle of activities of the SAARC CCI and its member National Federations. It provides an opportunity for happy re-union of business leaders in the region, platform for further networking, strengthening existing business ties and for forging new alliances. It also provides a unique opportunity to the business leaders to interact with the political leaders from the region to discuss policy and regulatory issues affecting interregional business co-operation. It is commendable that the SBLC has now gone to the extent of addressing overarching concerns such as water, energy, food and climate security too. I am proud as a part of Dhaka, Convention and pleased that SAARC CCI has been able to organise Lead 2012 ensuring much needed continuity and sustained efforts. I wish the Convention resounding success!
