An additional district and sessions judge Lahore on Friday summoned Station House Officer (SHO) Racecourse on January 13 in an application seeking registration of a case against former chief minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa for producing fake documents in court. Khosa tried to establish that Missal Khan, complainant, was not real father of his missing ex-wife Sapna Khan.
The SHO was directed to appear on Friday but he did not turn up. A sub-inspector from the police station told the court that the SHO failed to appear due to illness. The Judge Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad took strong notice of the absence and Missal Khan's counsel alleged that the SHO was playing delaying tactics at the behest of Khosa.
It was pleaded in the petition that Sapna Khan's passport, computerised identification card, and property documents are enough to prove that Missal Khan is her real father. It said many applications were submitted to the police to lodge a case against Khosa.
