A delegation of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women Crisis Centres (SBBWCC) from Punjab met with the Advisor to Prime Minister, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar here on Monday to address the grievances of the women centers' employees by regularising their jobs. There has been uncertainty and insecurity among the employees since these Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women Crisis Centers were devolved under the 18th Amendment and the Punjab government refused to accept 12 crisis centers.
This is particularly more disturbing due to the fact that the other three provinces accepted these centers located in their respective provinces. The delegation also appreciated the efforts of the advisor for taking notice and resolving their problems like payment of salaries, and release of funds after the devolution. Khokhar assured the delegation that their issues will be raised at the Council of Common Interests to reach an agreement with the Punjab government and all possible steps will be taken for regularisation of their jobs.-PR
