Hooliganism on New Year eve: CCPO Lahore warns of strict action

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Ahmad Raza Tahir has said strict action will be taken against those people who transgress the law by getting involved in drinking, aerial firing, rush driving, aggressive racing and hooliganism on New Year eve.
The CCPO said that on New Year eve, more than 10,000 police personnel would perform their duties while the Divisional SPs has been directed to ascertain advance information regarding events being organised in their areas on New Year eve. Strict action to be taken against those people who transgress the law.
The CCPO asserted that no immoral or illegal activity would be tolerated, as no person is above the law. Ahmad Raza Tahir further pointed out that none would be spared if found involved in hooliganism and rough driving. The CCPO said that special squads have been formed to check hooliganism and motorcycles without silencer, vehicle racing and overloading on New Year eve.
