The Lahore High Court on Wednesday summoned record of examination and interview record of terminated ad-hoc pharmacists from Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) till January 31 next. Earlier, the petitioners' counsel argued that the chief minister terminated the petitioners on political grounds.
But on the other hand, the chief minister exercising his discretionary powers regularised hundreds of other employees of health department. He asked the court to take notice of this injustice. A law officer also informed the court that during the last three years as many as 11058 contractual employees of the department ranging from grade 16 to 18 had been regularized on the recommendations of recruitment committees.
