PocketBook has introduced a new e-book reader with electronic ink (E-Ink). The PocketBook 611 offers a 6-inch gray scale display (800 x 600 pixels with 166 dpi resolution) which weighs 175 grams and is less than one-centimetre thick. Eighteen formats can be presented, including EPUB, PDF, TXT, DJVU, RTF, HTML, DOC and DOCX.
Book files arrive via wireless or USB and are filed in the 2 GB internal memory. The device has an 800 MHz processor and its battery is expected to last for 8,000 page turns. The 12.3 x 17.6 centimetre reader comes in gray and white and costs 129 euro (172 dollars).
