Published Updated

Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has revealed that Sipa-e-Sahaba (SSP) is involved in the murder of Shahbaz Bhatti, former Minister for Minority Affairs. Speaking here on Sunday at a function organised in connection with celebration of Christmas Day, he said that late Shahbaz Bhatti had been receiving threats from Taliban, Sipa-e-Sahaba and other organisation.
Rehman Malik said that investigation into his murder disclosed that Bhatti was killed by people of Sipa-e-Sahab. He said that the two people involved in the crime are not in the country and the government has issued red warrants for their extradition. The Minister said that the government would get them back in the country very soon.
Criticising the speech of former Foreign Affairs Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Malik said that Qureshi was making such statements against President Asif Ali Zardari to achieve cheap publicity. The Minister said that ISI and IB were not under the control and asked the opposition leader Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan to withdraw his statement that agencies in the control of interior ministry have become active in evil games.
