University of Sindh has announced that elections for membership on reserved seats for principals and teachers from affiliated colleges on the university senate and Academic Council will be held on January 27. According to the notification issued by the University Registrar on Friday that elections will be held on three seats of principals and 12 teachers among the principals and teachers respectively of affiliated degree colleges.
The election will be held for the senate and four seats reserved for principals and five seats for teachers among principals and teachers of affiliated colleges on the Academic Council of the university. SU Registrar, Akhtar Ahmed Memon will act as Election Officer while Assistant Registrar of General Branch Muhammad Bux Leghari and Ali Akbar Jalbai will be Assistant Returning Officers. According to he notification voter-list will be published on December 29 while objection can file by teachers against any entry on preliminary list on January 2 and final voters list will be notified on January 4.
Nominations from the teachers of affiliated colleges will be received on January 9 up-to 12.00 noon and also scrutiny on the same day at 12.30 noon. List of candidates will be announced on January 13 while date for the withdrawal of nominations will be January 17 up to 12 noon. Final list of candidates will be announced on January 18 and election will be held on January 27. Unofficial results of elections will be announced on same day and official results will be notified on January 31.
