Sindh government has decided to provide training and weapons based on latest technology to prisons police, Business Recorder learnt on Friday. This decision was taken during a high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for Prisons and Law, Ayaz Soomro at his office of Sindh Assembly building a few days back.
Soomro directed the officials that all officers and employees should be trained on latest technology instruments and hey all would be provided the latest weapons as well, sources said. He said that all people of the prison force would be able to meet any kind of challenges with latest training. He emphasised that if any man of the force fails training he would be removed from the service, sources said.
The meeting also decided to appoint the lecturers of criminology, psychology, law and other subjects in training centres of Sindh prison department who will teach new recruits and senior officers about the said subjects, sources said. Inspector General of Sindh prisons, Ghulam Qadir Thebo, Secretary Prisons Sindh, Dost Ali Baloch, DIG Jails, Nusrat Mangan and other officers were also present in the meeting.
