The Australian dollar held near all-time highs against the euro on Thursday, as doubts remained over how much of a massive 489 billion European Central Bank tender will actually flow into struggling eurozone economies and help restore confidence. The euro stood at A$1.2925, having broken key support at $1.2900 on Wednesday and sunk as deep as A$1.2858 after stops were triggered.
The New Zealand dollar inched lower to $0.7686, from $0.7696 in New York, having briefly touched a session high of $0.7715 after better-than-expected headline economic growth figures.
