Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawwar Hasan, has severely criticised the rulers, saying that they have become blind and deaf as they pay no heeds to the problems being faced by people of the country.
Addressing the participants of a sit-in staged by the Railway workers against the mal-administration in Pakistan Railways at PR headquarters on Wednesday, he said that the so-called democratic government had put all the resolutions passed in Parliament and decisions taken by the apex court on the back and seemed to be insincere in this regard. He said that railway workers were struggling not for their own interests, but for 18 million people of the country.
Munawwar Hasan said that thousands of poor people had been deprived of this facility and a conspiracy was being hatched to make hundreds of people jobless. He criticised federal minister of PR for neglecting people's problems. He expressed his resolve that people would not let this public institution close at any cost. The PR workers were losing their lives for attracting the attention of the rulers to solve their problems. The pensioners were queuing for hours but to no avail.
