The Indonesia Commodity & Derivative Exchange (ICDX) is planning to launch a physical rubber contract, its chief executive officer said on Tuesday. The decision was made following talks between the International Tripartite Rubber Council (ITRC) on Saturday, ICDX's Megain Widjaja told Reuters.
"It is still at a very preliminary level," said Widjaja, who said timescale and details had yet to be decided. Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia account for 70 percent of global output. The ICDX is due to also launch contracts for palm olein and tin in the next few weeks.
