While smelling conspiracy against the Parliament, senior Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader and former law minister Babar Awan has said that the rope is being tightened up around the parliament's neck. Referring to Pakistan's disintegration, he lamented PML-N went to Supreme Court the day when the nation was remembering the Dhaka's fall. He said that Pakistan mourns Dhaka debacle amidst precarious political situation prevailing in the country.
Addressing a press conference at the residence of opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz, Awan said that Sharif failed to deliver despite heavy mandate in the past. He alleged that Nawaz was uncomfortable with the Parliament and wanted 'to strangle it to death'.
According to him, the person who was tightening the rope against the neck of the parliament was playing the role of Tara Masih. Awan said that the country could not be run without democracy. He said that President Zardari had been elected with two-third majority and would soon return to Pakistan to resume his office. The government would complete its constitutional term and no one should try to enter into power corridors through back door. He said that the parliament would be strengthened and every move to weaken it would be defeated with the power of masses.
