BTB monthly performance report from RTOs: DG I&I develops software for faultless transmission
The Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has developed web-based software to ensure transparent and efficient transmission of broadening of tax base (BTB), on the basis of monthly performance report from Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to FBR.
In this connection, the FBR issued instructions to the RTOs here on Friday. According to FBR's instructions, to ensure transparent & efficient transmission of BTB monthly performance report from RTOs to FBR, Directorate General I&I-IR, has developed the web based software which can be accessible in DG I&I-IR portion of FBR's website. In this operational software RTOs shall utilise online facility to update their monthly BTB performance.
The FBR has also issued the working parameters to the RTOs for submission of BTB monthly performance reports. The FBR's directive said that the Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner HQ of each RTO have been designated as the updating officers in this online mechanism. The user name and passwords are being forwarded separately through the Chief Commissioners' official email address.
For data entry the updating officers shall click the caption: "BTB monthly performance entry (For field offices only)" in the section of DG (I&I-IR) of FBR's website at the relevant link. The FBR further said that the data entry covering RTOs Monthly BTB Performance must be completed latest by 7th of each succeeding month. For the convenience of FBR's Management performance of complaint RTOs shall be captioned "Green", whereas the defaulting units would be reflected as "Red", FBR said.
Accumulative BTB performance upto November 30, 2011 has been loaded and now onwards with online entry at RTOs the aforesaid data shall be updated accordingly. Meanwhile (before January 7, 2012) all updating officers are required to upload data of the previous months ie July-November, 2011 in the given spaces provided in their respective system windows. This task must be completed by the RTOs upto December 26 positively, FBR's instructions added.
