Consul General of the United States in Karachi William Martin has said that peace and security will help open many economic and commercial opportunities and attract much needed foreign investment.
There should be no doubt that the rule of law and peaceful stability will empower private sector investors to create jobs and provide energy and infrastructure to the people of this great country, he went on to say at the certificate distribution ceremony held to distribute certificates to the police officials of Sindh and Balochistan on completion of short course on "Post blast evidence recovery course" here at Central Police Office (CPO) on Friday.

The ceremony was attended among others by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, and others. The US Consul General assured to continue support to help bring about greater peace throughout the community through providing better equipment and modern training to police for meeting extraordinary challenges.
IGP Mushtaq Shah appreciated the efforts of the US Consul General and his team for forwarding the training assistance to police for providing the opportunity to continue the vision of modernising the Sindh police. "The trainings being offered by the US government from time to time are valuable in our efforts to curb crime on the streets as well as clandestine terrorist operations", he maintained.
Additional IGP Sindh, Falak Khurshid, in his opening remarks informed that the course was attended by 22 participants from Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana and Quetta.
