Spot gold stretched losses on Thursday, after falling 3.5 percent in the previous session, as investors remained nervous about the eurozone debt crisis amid the year-end rush to liquidate positions. Spot gold lost 0.6 percent to $1,564.89 an ounce by 0646 GMT, after posting its biggest one-day decline in nearly three months on Wednesday. US gold fell 1.2 percent to $1,568.40.
